Robert Taylor is an American stand up comic.
He was a US Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA and relocated to San Diego after completing his enlistment. Robert's first open mic was at the Comedy Store - La Jolla in 1990. He stepped away from comedy in 1992 to complete his education at San Diego State University, and to pursue a career coaching high school and college basketball. After making his way up to college basketball head coach, he settled in to a career in higher education and raised his two sons as a single father.
In 2019, once his kids were in college, Robert decided to give stand up another shot, and he's been all-in ever since, performing throughout the US.
He also has created and performed an edgy triathlon-themed stand up show called the Lactic Acid Flashbacks Comedy Trip based on his 37 years training, racing, and coaching triathlon.
